Intensive Russian Assaults Eliminate Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have come under increased strikes in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were injured while residents in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and faced problems to water supplies, according to local authorities.

Simultaneously, a minor was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southern area, according to area administrators.

Russian forces has escalated attacks on energy facilities over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the United States, Europe and the G7 - in supplying air defence systems and applying sanctions," he wrote in a online statement.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty rockets targeted energy facilities, labeling such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were working to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles hit electrical systems and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people injured in the assaults on the capital have been hospitalized, according to city authorities.

Local officials said the city came under heavy assaults throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child lost their life and three other people were wounded.

The assaults come after nights of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The entire country is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to identify.

Authorities told journalists that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the national power system, with assaults already impacting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and authorities were anticipating further attacks.
